Nike decided to sponsor a series of videos on our YouTube channel in order to promote a new product line of soccer apparel. My family runs multiple sports-themed YouTube channels under the business name "That's Amazing LLC". In the summer of 2023, Nike contacted us to create 3 videos wearing their products such as new soccer cleats. Rather than make an obvious advertisement, they simply wanted us to wear their products in the video but still make an organic and normal YouTube video. The goal was to maximize the content and performance, and associate the skills seen in the video with Nike products. Since we are viewed as "influencers" Nike hoped that people would be influenced by us to wear the same products and try similar tricks. One of Nike's main priorities of the campaign was to encourage kids to get outside and exercise, so we were suggested to perform tricks that anyone would be able to do with every-day resources. The project was started in early July, and the final video was released in the middle of September. We created a total of 9 pieces of social media content including 3 YouTube videos, 2 YouTube Shorts, 2 Instagram posts, and 2 Instagram stories. Throughout the two month experience I worked with my family as well as an agency company called Day One who coordinated with both us and Nike. Some challenges entailed meeting quick deadlines, and also using feedback from many different people which changed the editing process. Overall, working with Nike was a great experience that resulted in a successful campaign resulting in about 10 million views. Both sides seemed to benefit from this project, and we quickly started working on another similar campaign after this one ended.
